New Leather Cuffs
Yesterday I managed to put a dent on my to do list and drew a whole bunch of leather cuffs with the pyrographer. I made my burning pen a leather cover because after a while it gets pretty hot. These bracelets will be ready in a few weeks, there is still a lot of work to before they're done and I might put color on some of them.
I'll let you know when they're available for purchase.
Today I'm back to watercolors :)

June!
“How did it get so late so soon? It's night before it's afternoon.
December is here before it's June. My goodness how the time has flewn.
How did it get so late so soon?” -Dr. Seuss
My thoughts exactly! Time to change your desktop calendar :)

Cuff & Ring
I finished the first cuff of the batch and made myself a matching thumb ring :) I'm keeping these because I've sold or given away all of the ones I've made so far. I won't be selling any rings...too many finger sizes out there!
*In case you're wondering: the beautiful wooden ring holder was a gift from my friend Margie and the thing holding the bracelet is a cholla cactus skeleton.

New Batch
It has been a while since I've drawn with the pyrograph. I love making up the design as I draw along and it makes each design unique. I'm making twenty leather cuffs and maybe a couple of these. I'll let you know when they're available at my shop.

Hellebore Journal
Fun embroidery/bookbinding project I did over the weekend using my hellebore watercolor illustration. I transferred the image to the bookbinding cotton cloth using Iron-On transfer paper from Strathmore and added some embroidered details. I bought these sheets many, many years ago from Amazon, I don't know if they still sell them.
If you want to try your hand at book binding this is a good step-by-step tutorial.

Pot Holder
This weekend I made a quilted pot holder using two of my Bookhou's triangles fabric scraps, wool felt for the inside, a tiny piece of Kokka red polka dot fabric and a thin strip of leather. Quick, small sewing projects like this one are so satisfying.
